Plumber, Heating Repair & HVAC Specialist

F.H. Furr has been our company of choice since moving into our neighborhood in 1998. (Picked them because of their truck!) So far, we've had only minor things done: toilets and air conditioning checks. But each time the professionalism was at the highest. Now, that our home is older, and in need of bigger things (kitchen and bath re-do for starters), I know that I can continue to trust F.H. Furr to get things done right...the first time, with no hidden costs.

I have used another company for years - but now I will only use FURR. Called these folks at 8 AM on a sunday without residential hot water. The plumber was at the house by 9:30 AM. did a through anlysis and gave me my options. we replaced the water heater at a competitive price. More importnalty the plumber (Jimmy) was a pro. He was neat, clean and thorough. witihn 30 minutes of jimmy's departure a company rep called me and asked how the work went and if all was OK. That is just super!

Recently I had several plumbing companies provide me with estimates for a water treatment system. The first company came out, filled an Avon bottle with water and said they would be in touch......never heard back from them. The second company sent a guy who was nice and gave me a price right away but didn't seem to know what he was talking about--he told me I needed a water softener and an acid neutralizer without even testing my water!! I then had FH Furr come out. Their guy actually took the time to test my water for hardness and pH on the spot...allowing me to watch and see the results. The pH was nearly perfect so I didn't need an acid neutralizer (woo hoo!) but the hardness was really high as I suspected. He then explained what causes hard water, its effects and my treatment options. He was able to answer every question I had in a very clear and concise manner. They quoted me a price which seemed competitive but I had another company scheduled to give me a final estimate later that day so I didn't agree to it right away. The last company gave me a price slightly less but I decided to go with FH Furr due to their professionalism and honesty and since their price included a Lakos Sediment Filter and a Demand Regeneration Softener. I called Adam from FH Furr the following week and he said he would order the equipment and install it two days later. Wow! Two days later they showed up at the agreed upon time and got right to work. I posted a picture of the job online at http://i1080.photobuck... . Furr also installed the new pump tank in the picture the same day and moved my water heater which was where the softener is now. The softener drain was plumbed and vented into a drain line in the back corner of the room....all of the other companies wanted to run it along the wall above my utility room door (in plain site) and into the laundry tub. Fh Furr did an amazing job and I am happy to report that my new system is currently working perfectly. My wife and I are extremely happy with the price, quality and service we received.
